MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL

A method for preparing a phase change material is provided to produce the phase change material that is applicable to a cold chain system of agricultural crops and shows thermally insulating characteristics at the temperature ranging from 0 to 15 °C. A method for preparing a phase change material includes a step of reacting an emulsion colloid with a pretreated polymer to obtain a slurry in a microcapsule form. The emulsion colloid is obtained by adding sodium acrylate, a nucleator, and water to an aqueous SMA solution, and then emulsifying the admixture at 3,000-10,000 rpm. The pretreated polymer is obtained by reacting a melanin resin or gelatin with water. The nucleator is at least any one selected from C14H30 and C18H38.
