An inverter unit and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to uniformly maintain the flat of chassis by minimizing change of the chassis. An inverter unit includes an inverter, a substrate(520), a fixing part(530) and a coupling part. The inverter is embedded in the substrate, and the fixing part supports the substrate. The coupling part couples with the substrate and the fixing part, and the fixing part includes a base board and a supporting board. The supporting board is bent to the base board, and the substrate is arranged on the supporting board of the fixing part. The inverter unit further includes a guide part. The guide part includes a guide hook, a fixing member and a guide groove(532), and guides a location for arranging the substrate on the fixing part. The coupling part includes a first coupling hole, a second coupling hole, and a first coupling member. The coupling member is coupled with the first and the second coupling hole.
