A coupler for connecting drain pipes is provided to sustain a watertight state of the coupler and to flow sewage smoothly by forming a cut part and sealing the cut part by compressing a support protrusion. A coupler for connecting drain pipes comprises a connecting pipe(10), an outer packing, a compressor, a tightening device, and an inner packing. The connecting pipe is cylindrical, is formed with a thread(13) on an outer peripheral surface of the upper end thereof, has catching protrusions(14a,14b) with a curved surface(12), has a support protrusion(15) supporting an end of a sub drain pipe, and has a cut part having a larger width than that of a main drain pipe. The outer packing is inserted in an outer peripheral surface of the connecting pipe. The compressor is inserted in the outer peripheral surface of the connecting pipe. A thread is formed at the inner peripheral surface of the tightening device. The inner packing is inserted in the inner peripheral surface of the connecting pipe. |
