The invention relates to the technology of cleaning gases with use of electrostatic effect and they can be used in heat-power engineering, at metallurgical, chemical and ore-dressing combines, cement and by-product plants etc. In a method of electrostatic cleaning of gases a flow of gases is passed through electric field generated by method of supplying the high voltage to corona-forming and precipitation electrodes. In accordance with the invention, the gas flow is passed in pulsating mode, periodically increasing the speed of gas flow to a specific value in the area of reduced intensity of electric field, and then decreasing it in the near-surface area of precipitation electrodes to a specific value in the area of increased intensity of electric field. Cottrell filter for electrostatic cleaning of gases contains rows of precipitation electrodes, which are made in the form of chutes. The rows form channels. The corona-forming electrodes are located at crossing of the planes of symmetry of channels and chutes. In accordance with the invention, the cross-sectional areas of channels for passage of gases are connected by a ratio. In this case each channel is formed by two pairs of adjacent even and odd rows of precipitation electrodes. The sides of chutes and collars of precipitation electrodes of adjacent rows form a duct. The corona-forming electrodes in the adjacent channels are staggered. The invention provides for increase of the intensity of electrostatic precipitation of dust and increase of the density of layer of dust, due to what the degree of cleaning gases considerably increases. |
