A terminal capable of processing electronic financial transaction with a multi-OS(Operating System) and a control method thereof are provided to reduce time/expense needed for developing/distributing a system protection technology, and improve user convenience or shorten a processing time while basically removing hacking probability occurring or expected in the electronic financial transaction. A first input unit(101) applies a signal for switching a first OS to a second OS while the first OS is executed. A manager(102) deactivates operation of a terminal when the signal is received. An activator(103) activates again the operation of the terminal when the operation of the terminal is deactivated. An executor(104) executes the second OS activating an electronic financial transaction-only mode, which includes a state for enabling only the network service needed for electronic financial transaction and closing an inbound port, when the second OS is activated. A first controller(105) controls processing the electronic financial transaction on the executed second OS. |
