A display device is provided to apply the same common voltage to split regions of a first substrate and split regions of second substrates, which correspond to the split regions of the first substrate, to minimize a difference in the quantity of kickback over a display panel to thereby improve display quality of the display device. A display device(100) includes a display panel(110), a gate driver(120), a data driver(130), a common voltage generator(140), and a common voltage split and output unit(150). The display panel includes a first substrate on which a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of pixels, and switching elements are formed and a second substrate opposite to the first substrate. Electrodes of a storage capacitor and a liquid crystal capacitor are connected to the first and second substrates. The driver outputs a driving signal to the switching elements. The common voltage generator outputs a common voltage applied to the storage capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor. The common voltage split and output unit is connected to the common voltage generator, splits the common voltage into multiple voltages and provides the split common voltages to the storage capacitor and the liquid crystal capacitor. |
