A device for storing a car of an aerial cableway system is provided to transfer the cars to a storage region from a circulation region by having a carriage reciprocating along a storage rail and driven by a motor. A device for storing a car(3) of an aerial cableway system includes a storage region(2), a transfer device(7), and a moving device. The transfer device transfers the car from a circulation region(4,5) to the storage region or from the storage region to the circulation region. The moving device moves the car on a storage rail. The moving device is a carriage which reciprocates along the storage rail and is driven by a motor. The carriage is engaged with only the last car stored on the storage rail.
