An apparatus for preventing a palette for a machine tool from falling down is provided to dispose a stopper on a clamp shaft, a spring cap on an APC arm to guide a relative motion of the clamp shaft, and an elastic unit between the stopper and the spring cap. Two pieces of palettes(32a,32b) are exchanged by using lifting and a rotating APC(Automatic Palette Changer) arm. A first hook is provided at one side of the palettes. A second hook is coupled to or separated from the first hook. The second hook is provided on the APC arm. A clamp shaft has a first end coupled to the second hook and a second end penetrating the APC arm, so that the APC arm performs a lifting motion and a relative motion. An elastic unit pushes the clamp shaft in a lifting direction of the APC arm.
