A diagnosis apparatus for a radiation tolerant camera and a method therefor are provided to grasp an accurate state of a current camera unit by confirming an image signal, confirming whether the camera unit is normal, and providing the confirmed result as position information about a normal range. A receiver unit(200), located between a camera unit(120) and a monitoring unit(300), relays power, a control signal, and an image signal. The receiver unit informs failure to a user when an electric state obtained in case of a normal state and an operating state of the camera unit deviates a normal range. When the electric state belongs to the normal range, the receiver unit grasps deviation for the normal state and provides the grasped information to the user.
