FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: on press bed two eccentric shafts are mounted on both sides in relation to slab feed direction. Axes of shafts are installed perpendicularly to direction of slab feed. Shafts are connected with drive and equipped with eccentric bushings of travel control mechanism. Sliders are installed on bushings with the possibility of relative rotation. Sliders may progressively move perpendicularly to axes of shafts. Two plates with strikers are installed on sliders by means of screws of press closed height control mechanism. Sliders are connected between each other by means of columns with the possibility of forward motion in relation to the latter ones. ^ EFFECT: increase of press efficiency. ^ 1 dwg
