The invention proposes a method for production of a polymeric insulator that includes making an insulating element and an electric insulating rod, uniting them with help of binder, which is deposited on the surface of the electric insulating rod along full length of it, the rod is placed in a casting form. To make insulating element, into press-mold it is delivered elastomer under pressure, then it is treated at high temperature. As elastomer it is used silicon rubber having active fillers. Covering is made from silicon rubber in the form of high-molecular siloxane rubber or liquid two-component vulcanized silicon rubber based on components A and B in the ratio of 1:1 (mas.p.), one or two tags from the side of a blind cylindrical hole for placement of a fiberglass rod is made with a volume bulge in the form of a rotary body, the covering is performed with a arched bell located symmetrically as to longitudinal symmetry axis tag body and made solid with it.
