A forging press with stick releasing and automatic slide adjusting functions is provided to accurately control a gap between a slide and a press mold without stopping the operation of the forging press, and improve efficiency and productivity of the press forging operation and reduce raw materials considerably by accurately adjusting the slide while performing a press forging operation continuously. A forging press with stick releasing and automatic slide adjusting functions comprises: a crank shaft(20) which is mounted on an upper part of a pres body(10), and which has a connecting rod(22) formed on a lower part thereof; a slide(15) mounted on the body in a way that the slide is lifted or lowered under the connecting rod of the crank shaft; an adjusting eccentric shaft(30) for axially connecting the connecting rod of the crankshaft and the slide to lift or lower the slide by the rotation of the crankshaft; an adjusting lever(40) connected to the adjusting eccentric shaft rotatably and axially and disposed between the crankshaft and the slide; a cylinder(50) in which a piston is installed, the piston being connected to one side of the adjusting lever such that the piston is relatively rotatable, and which has first and second ports(P1,P2) formed on a circumferential part thereof in a way that the first and second ports respectively communicate with first and second chambers(C1,C2) divided by the piston; and a hydraulic pumping unit operated to selectively supply a hydraulic pressure into the first and second chambers of the cylinder.
