The invention relates to the branch of metallurgy and can be used for hydro-jet removal of slag, oxidizing film, sinters and surface contaminations of different billets, including in rolling production for cleaning of the surfaces of hot billets from stove slag before rolling. A device for hydro-jet removal of the slag from the billets of rolling mill contains nozzles, which are mounted on the collectors and are installed with outlets toward the surface of being cleaned billet, and with inlets they are connected to the outlet of pressure regulator, which inlet is connected to the pumping plant. Nozzles can be moved in vertical plane by means of a servomechanism. The device is equipped with a setting device of the property of being cleaned surface, with gauge of the thickness of workable material, and with control unit of the speed of conveyer of workable blank. The device provides for smallest possible consumption of electric power at hydro-jet removal of slag from billets and considerable savings of water. |
