A flexible and thin slide fastener is provided to form a thin zipper and to fix a fastener element with a constitution in which an entangling portion is interposed between the elements. A chain type fastener element(2) having the shape of a coil into which a core string(1) is inserted is installed on one side of the fastener tape(3). A loop yarn(4) is introduced from the surface of the fastener element and a needle yarn(5) is introduced from the rear surface of the fastener tape to the gap between the fastener elements. The loop of the needle yarn is exposed to the surface of the fastener element to make the loop part entangled with the loop yarn. The entangled portion(6) is fastened by an entangling system of a double stitching structure. Six strings of a fixing yarn are put on the surface of the element through the two lines of the loop yarn.
