FIELD: internal-combustion engine testing. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for measurement of opacity and toxicity of exhaust gases of internal-combustion engine (ICE) with exhaust silencer, consists of light source (1) and photocell (2), which are connected to measuring unit (3), several removable sampling tanks (4) with inlet and outlet channels. Cutoff devices are installed in the channels; outlet channel of removable sampling tank can be connected to gas-analysers via adapter sleeves. Internal cavities of removable sampling tanks repeat form and size of the exhaust silencers. Result is obtained by a simultaneous measurement of opacity and toxicity. ^ EFFECT: enhancement of accuracy and reliability of measurement of waste gases toxicity and exhaust opacity; improvement of measurement conditions: reduction of measurement time, ability to carry out analysis remotely from the engine under testing, conservation of exhaust gases for further measurement. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg |
