IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An Imaging apparatus is provided to improve the operating reliability of a power control implement which controls power transmitted from a driving source to a driven body. A power control implement includes a shaft(100), the first gear(200), the second gear(300), a sliding unit(400), and a sliding guide member(500). The first gear engages to a power delivery gear and rotates centering around the shaft. The second gear receives power from the first gear, rotates centering around the shaft, and transmits the power to a driven body. The sliding unit, installed in the shaft, simultaneously performs rotary motion and linear motion. The sliding unit moves between the first position where the first gear is contacted to the second gear and power is transmitted and the second position where the first gear is separated from the second gear and the power is blocked. The sliding guide member, installed in the same axis as the sliding unit, guides the linear motion of the sliding unit from the rotary motion of the sliding unit.
