A method for heating passenger room of a fuel cell vehicle in an idle operation using a braking resistor is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost and weight of the vehicle by heating the passenger room without mounting additional auxiliary heater or heating resistance. A method for heating passenger room of a fuel cell vehicle in an idle operation using a braking resistor(15) comprises the step of receiving an on-signal from an idle heating switch by a control device(12) to compare passenger room temperature of the vehicle with a preset temperature. When the indoor temperature is lower than the preset temperature, the control device connects the braking resistor to a main power circuit and increases the amount of hydrogen to be injected such that a predetermined calorie is generated. A water pump(21) for a heater and a heater unit(22) are operated such that refrigerant, which has cooled a fuel cell(11) and the braking resist, passes through the heater unit, and air, which is heated by refrigerant in the heater unit, is discharged into the indoor of the vehicle.
