A sealing apparatus for a jake brake is provided to seal an oil flow path between a locker arm and a hydraulic actuator by reliably adhering the locker arm to the hydraulic actuator using an elastic member installed on a lock shaft. A sealing apparatus for a jake brake comprises a locker shaft(10) installed on an upper portion of a cylinder head, a plurality of locker arms(12) for opening/closing exhaust valves, and a hydraulic actuator installed on a compressive section(12a) of the locker arm. The locker shaft is provided with an elastic member(16), which compresses the compressive section toward the hydraulic actuator. The elastic member serves to seal between the compressive section of the locker arm and the hydraulic actuator. The elastic member is a bias type spring, which includes a mounting portion(16a) having an end portion fixed to the locker shaft, an elastic action portion(16b) extending from the mounting portion, and a compressive end portion(16c). |
