摘要 <p>The device (10) for changing a pH of a solvent in which a substance is dissolved, comprises an enclosure (12) in contact with the solvent through a wall of the enclosure and with the substance. The enclosure contains enzymes to transform the substance into hydrogen or hydroxyl ions. The enclosure wall (18) is not permeable to enzymes. The substance is D-glucose in which the enzymes are glucose oxidase enzyme to provide hydrogen ions by D-glucose oxidation, and L-glucose in which the enzymes are L-fucose dehydrogenase emzyme to provide hydrogen ions by L-glucose oxidation. The device (10) for changing a pH of a solvent in which a substance is dissolved, comprises an enclosure (12) in contact with the solvent through a wall of the enclosure and with the substance. The enclosure contains enzymes to transform the substance into hydrogen or hydroxyl ions. The enclosure wall (18) is not permeable to enzymes. The substance is D-glucose in which the enzymes are glucose oxidase enzyme to provide hydrogen ions by D-glucose oxidation, L-glucose in which the enzymes are L-fucose dehydrogenase emzyme to provide hydrogen ions by L-glucose oxidation, and urea in which the enzymes are urease enzyme to provide hydrogen ions by urea degradation. Independent claims are included for: (1) an actuator; (2) a motor; (3) a system for purification of substance; and (4) a pile.</p>
