The device (10) i.e. telescopic chute, has a sliding part (14) sliding in a fixed part (16), where the two parts present a radius of curvature on all or part of their length for permitting mutual sliding of the parts. Ends of the chute are fixed to a receptacle (12) e.g. oil receptacle. The chute moves from a retracted position, in which a free opening (24) of the chute is disposed in a vertical plane, to a folded position in which the opening of the chute is disposed in a horizontal plane for permitting the filling of receptacle. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a viscous liquid filling device.
