PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of performing dynamic display changing with the elapse of time at a low cost. SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed grooves 4a are formed on a light transmission plate 4 of a back light of a so-called edge light system and the light transmission plate 4 is divided to each segment 4b by each recessed groove 4a. Red LEDs and green LEDs 5G in which independent and discrete lighting and extinction for every segment 4b are possible are oppositely arranged at the end surfaces of respective segments 4b. An upward arrow or downward arrow is lighted and displayed by the irradiation light which is irradiated from the Red LEDs or the green LEDs 5G and transmitted through the display plate having a light transmission section 6 of an arrow mark in a vertical direction.
