PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power unit equipped with a connecting member capable of decreasing the load, exerted by a fixed portion between a connecting section and a terminal piece, and suppressing the poor connection. SOLUTION: This electric power unit 1 is provided with a battery assembly 2, measuring means, and the connecting member 9. The battery assembly 2 is provided with a plurality of batteries 4. The battery 4 is provided with positive electrodes 6 and negative electrodes 7. The positive electrode 6 and the negative electrode 7, adjacent to each other, are connected through the connecting member 9. The connecting member 9 is provided with a conductive connecting section 10 and a terminal piece 15. In the connecting member 9, the terminal piece 15 contacts an electrode-side surface of the connecting section 10 at a contacting surface thereof, and a connecting surface of the terminal piece 15 is provided to erect, from an electrode-opposite-side surface of the connecting section 10, with a hook section of the connecting surface abutting against the electrode-opposite-side surface of the connecting section 10.
