PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for performing guidance on an optimum rerouting course also in consideration of turning a vehicle around at an intersection. SOLUTION: This navigation system is equipped with: a map data storage means 42 therein storing map data including data on intersections allowing vehicles to turn around; a present position determination means 23; a first rerouting course determination means 31 determining a first rerouting course for rerouting to a guidance route by a right or left turn made by a vehicle at an intersection existing in the traveling direction of the vehicle when the vehicle has missed the guidance route; an extraction means 32 determining whether or not an intersection allowing vehicles to turn around matches prescribed conditions to extract an intersection matching the conditions; a second rerouting course determination means 33 determining a second rerouting course for rerouting to the guidance route by a turn made by the vehicle at the extracted intersection; a selection means 34 selecting a rerouting course of a short distance; and an output means 35.
