PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an image processing apparatus which can prevent a color shift while suppressing a change in color tone. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes: a color space convertor 55 which converts the color information of a drawing object contained in printing data described by a page description language (PDL) from an RGB color space to a CMYK color space, and sets C, M, Y, K values of the drawing object to 255 if the drawing object is not a raster image object and is in black; a bit map image generator 59 which generates a bit map image based on the printing data; a marked picture element identifier 61 which identifies marked picture elements constituting a marked drawing object in the generated bit map image; and an outline processor 63 which changes C, M, Y values of picture elements to be interpolated to values based on C, M, Y values of the adjacent picture elements by regarding the identified marked picture elements as the picture elements to be interpolated.
