PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle wheel having hollow sub-air chambers at its rim, showing a superior mechanical strength and providing a stable running of an automobile and also to provide a manufacturing process for such a vehicle wheel. SOLUTION: The vehicle wheel 1 comprises a rim 2 and a disk 0, and sub--air chambers 5 are formed in the rim 2. The sub-air chambers 5 are divided in a side-by-side relation by partition walls spaced apart in a rotating axis direction, and there is provided at least one communicating part 6 communicating with a tire main air-chamber formed between a tire and the rim 2.
