The device i.e. respiratory mask, has an assembly component i.e. sealing ring, with a circular receiving space (33) which is partly filled with a phase change material such as calcium chloride hexahydrate, sodium sulfate decahydrate, Dinatriumhydrogenphosphat Dodecahydrate, natriumthiosulfat pentahydrate or natriumacetate trihydrate. The component has another receiving space (33') filled with a non-phase changing material.
