<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain appropriate volume data from frame data strings obtained by the manual scan of a probe. <P>SOLUTION: In the probe 10, a first scan surface and a second scan surface in orthogonal relation are repeatedly formed. A correlation part 18 executes an inter-frame correlation operation to tomographic image data corresponding to the first scan surface, and a correlation part 20 executes the inter-frame correlation operation to tomographic image data corresponding to the second scan surface. A vector operation part 22 computes three-dimensional motion information between frames on the basis of two correlation operation results, and that includes parallel motion information and rotary motion information. A series of tomographic image data strings obtained accompanying the manual scan are mapped on a storage space on the basis of the three-dimensional motion information obtained for each frame and thus the volume data are configured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
