<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card mounting device which prevents breakage of a card and a card holding member due to incorrect insertion of the card. <P>SOLUTION: The card mounting device comprises a housing having a card chamber 3f for inserting a card 11 through an opening part 3e, and a card holding member 12 having a surface 12a facing to the card and movably housed in the card chamber, wherein the housing includes a projecting part 3g projecting from the inner wall of the card chamber to the inside thereof, the card holding member includes a handle part 12b exposed from the opening part of the housing; a card engagement part 12c; and a guide part 12e extending in the forward movement direction and the backward movement direction of the card holding member on the surface opposite to the facing surface, and the projecting part 3g engages with the guide part to guide the forward movement and the backward movement of the card holding member 12.
