<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power required for consecutive photographing operation without providing a new battery in an imaging apparatus 100 such as a digital still camera. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 accepts a mode operation input by a mode operation accepting unit 300. When the mode operation input is a single photographing mode, a power supply voltage is applied to a capacitor 180 by a battery unit 170, and power to be used in a stroboscope 220 is accumulated. A power switching unit 190 switches the power from the capacitor 180 to a side of the stroboscope 220 or an imaging signal transfer unit 140 on the basis of the mode operation input. Namely, the power switching unit 190 switches the power so as to supply power to the stroboscope 220 in the single photographing mode and switches the power so as to supply power required for consecutive photographing operation through a DC/DC converter 200 to the imaging signal transfer unit 140 in a consecutive photographing mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
