SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET AND FORMATION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power of cooling equipment by magnetizing a superconductive coil, without being connected to a power lead wire and preventing heat from entering from the outside.

SOLUTION: A superconducting magnet comprises a magnetic field generator; a superconducting coil short-circuiting both the ends; and a cooling means for superconducting the superconductive coil. The superconducting coil in a normal conduction state is arranged in the magnetic field of the magnetic field generator; the superconducting coil is cooled by the cooling means in this state to transit to a superconducting state; a magnetic field in the magnetic field generator is made to vanish; and a current for holding a magnetic field is generated in the superconducting coil for magnetization.
