<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting wire that has high critical current density Ic, and can be used widely as superconducting equipment, such as cables and magnets, and high magnetic field generators, such as NMR, nuclear fusion, accelerator, and linac, and to provide a manufacturing method capable of manufacturing, such a superconducting wire at low cost and readily. <P>SOLUTION: The superconducting wire is formed by laminating an intermediate layer 2 made of Gd<SB>2</SB>Zr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>7</SB>, a cap layer 3 made of CeO<SB>2</SB>, a superconducting layer 4 made of YBCO, and a protective layer 5 made of Ag on a backing 1 made of a Ni-group alloy tape. The degree of axial orientation (Δω) of c axis in the superconducting layer 4 is adjusted so as to be not less than 0°and less than 3°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
