PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker and an audio device which can be installed in narrow space, and generate high output and make a listener at a specified position listen to a sound of high sound pressure. SOLUTION: The speaker 1 of the audio device is such that a front part 14 of a substrate part 11 is nearly rectangular in front view and formed into a curved surface having both ends curved on the side of a long side 12 and a virtual focus at a predetermined position. At the front part 14, ultrasonic wave generating elements 5<SB>1</SB>, 5<SB>2</SB>, ..., 5<SB>n</SB>are arranged and a sound generation part comprising diaphragms 6<SB>1</SB>, 6<SB>2</SB>, ..., 6<SB>n</SB>is formed into a curved surface having a virtual focus at a predetermined position as well. When an electric signal is supplied from an electric circuit part to the speaker and the ultrasonic wave generating elements 5<SB>1</SB>, 5<SB>2</SB>, ..., 5<SB>n</SB>output ultrasonic waves, an energy amount becomes maximum at the virtual focus and a sound of high sound pressure reaches the tympanic membranes of a listener nearby the virtual focus.
