PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topcoating composition for an outer face of a deep-drawn food can forming an environment-compatible matte clear coating film that has performances of retort resistance, resistance to a steam treatment in a state immersed in hot water, processability, coating film hardness and abrasion resistance and exhibits excellent matte designability, and a deep-drawn food can having a dry coating film layer of the coating composition. SOLUTION: The topcoating composition for an outer face of a deep-drawn food can comprises a polyester resin (A) having a hydroxyl value of the solid content of 5-15, an acid value of the solid content of less than 2 and a number-average molecular weight of 10,000-12,000 and being free from a raw material derived from bisphenol, a butyl etherified benzoguanamine resin (B) having a number-average molecular weight of 800-900 and being free from a raw material derived from bisphenol and a true spherical silicone resin fine particle beads (C).
