PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technical means which can prevent the deterioration of the accuracy, functions and life of a machine caused by the improper relocation of a machine tool from an initial installation place, and by which a relocation destination or a relocation history of the machine can be known. SOLUTION: A relocation detection device is equipped with a distance sensor 1a which is installed under the surface of the machine or a frame of an NC device and detects a floor surface, a storage means 2 for storing a variation when a detection value of the distance sensor varies, a battery 5 which supplies electricity required for the distance sensor and the storage means by being charged when power is supplied to the NC device 4, a limit information output means 7 for outputting an operation limit signal to the NC device in the case that the content of the storage means 2 cannot be read and the storage means 2 stores the variation, when a start-up command of the machine tool 3 is given to the NC device, and a reset means 8 which releases the operation limit based on the operation limit signal by receiving the reset signal, and initializes the content of the storage means 2.
