A method for automatically resetting a digital device is provided to reset a system by automatically resetting a digital device when an error is generated in an image complex apparatus due to various problems. A method for automatically resetting a digital device includes the steps of detecting whether an error due to incapability of control is generated at a digital device(302-304), detecting input of key signals when the error is detected and judging whether inputted key signals are random key signals(306-308), and automatically resetting the digital device when the inputted key signals are the random key signals(310).
