A novel compound is provided to be used as a hole injection material or an hole transport layer of an organic light emitting diode, thereby lowering a driving voltage of the diode and improving the light efficiency and life span of the diode. A compound is represented by a formula(1), wherein X is C or Si; Y is a direct bond, a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, and amino, or a divalent hetero-cycle which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, and amino; each R1 to R11 is independently H, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, aryl, aryl amine, hetero-cycle, amino, nitrile, nitro, halogen, amide or ester, each of which may form an aliphatic, an aromatic or a hetero fused ring with an adjacent group to each other, each R12 and R13 is independently H, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, aryl, hetero cycle, amino, nitrile, nitro, halogen, amide or ester, each of which may form an aliphatic, an aromatic or a hetero fused ring with an adjacent group to each other; each p and q is independently an integer from 1 to 5, provided that q is 1 when p is an integer of at least 2, and p is 1 when q is an integer of at least 2; A is -NZ1-(Y1-NZ2)a-Y2-NZ3Z4; and B is -NZ5-(Y3-NZ6)b-Y4-NZ7Z8, wherein each a and b is independently an integer from 0 to 10; each Y1 to Y4 is independently a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, and amino, or a divalent hetero-cycle which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, and amino; and each Z1 to Z8 is independently H, C1-20 aliphatic hydrocarbon, an aromatic hydrocarbon which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, hydrocarbon and hetero-cycle, silicone substituted by aromatic hydrocarbon, a hetero-cycle which may be substituted by at least one selected from the group consisting of nitro, nitrile, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, aromatic hydrocarbon and hetero-cycle, thiophene substituted by C1-20 hydrocarbon or C6-20 aromatic hydrocarbon, or boron substituted by aromatic hydrocarbon. An organic light emitting diode comprises a first electrode, at least one organic layer including the compound, and a second electrode.
