PLASMA DISPLAY PANNEL, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve discharge efficiency of the PDP(Plasma Display Panel) by forming an MgO protective layer using an electrophoresis. First and second substrates(3,1) are opposed to each other. Plural address electrodes(13) are formed on one surface of the first substrate. A dielectric layer(17) is formed on the first substrate to cover the address electrodes. Plural discharge electrodes are formed on one surface of the second substrate to cross the address electrodes. An inorganic oxide layer(18) is formed on the display electrode. An MgO protective layer(19) is formed to cover the inorganic protective oxide layer. A barrier rib(5) is arranged in a space between the first and second substrates and defines plural discharge cells. A fluorescent layer is formed in the discharge cell.
