<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character display control system that makes display control over a document such as contents of electronic mail and a web site to be displayed by a terminal, based upon the number of dots used for the display. <P>SOLUTION: The character display control system includes: a document read-in unit which reads in the document to be processed; a reference total dot number calculating unit which calculates the reference total number of dots by counting the number of characters of the read-in document; a dot counting unit which counts the number of dots used to display characters; a decision unit which calculates the rate of the dots used for the character display based upon the reference total number of dots calculated by the reference total dot number calculating unit and the number of dots counted by the dot counting unit, and decides whether the display of the document is changed by using the rate; and a display change processing unit which performs processing for changing the read-in document or the screen display as specified when it is decided that the display is changed, and then displaying the document by a display device of the terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
