<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a positive electrode active material for providing a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a high energy density and superior long life characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the positive electrode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a mixing process to dry mix (A) a nickel compound oxide or a nickel compound hydroxide, (B) at least one kind of a metal compound selected from a group of aluminum oxide, aluminum hydroxide, cobalt oxide, and cobalt hydroxide, and (C) a lithium hydroxide, and a calcination process to calcine a mixture obtained in the mixing process under existence of oxygen, and the nickel compound oxide or the nickel compound hydroxide (A) is a coprecipitate obtained by neutralizing a water solution in which an inorganic acid salt of nickel and an inorganic acid salt of at least one kind of metal element selected from a group of cobalt, aluminum, manganese, and iron are dissolved, or a calcined object of the coprecipitate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
