<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a reception buffer not to be assigned to an interface which is not used in an image forming apparatus having a plurality of interfaces for fetching data from a plurality of external devices. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises an interface connection detecting section for detecting whether or not an external device is connected to one of the plurality of interfaces, and a device driver section that retains a reception buffer region necessary for the interface when the connection of the external device is detected by the interface connection detecting section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
