<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification device that can perform an adequate forced regeneration even if particulates are deposited due to their maldistribution in a filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas purification device of internal combustion engine that calculates an amount of deposition of particulates captured by a filter based on pressure difference of exhaust emission before and after the filter, and performs forced regeneration of the filter when the amount of deposition reaches an amount of deposition for starting regeneration, it calculates (51-53) a nonuniform deposition index Id of particulates deposited in the filter, based on a discharge amount Qc of particulates from the engine and exhaust emission flow rate Qe of the engine, and corrects the amount of deposition for starting regeneration or the amount of deposition based on the nonuniform deposit index Id and the pressure difference of exhaust before and behind the filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
