PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet mill capable of obtaining a highly pure fine powder. SOLUTION: The jet mill is provided with a plurality of nozzles 3L, 3R jetting high pressure streams wherein particles on the high pressure streams jetting from the jetting nozzles 3L, 3R collide with each other to be pulverized. A nozzle mouth piece 50 composing a jetting-out side of each of the jetting nozzles 3L, 3R is made of a silicon carbide sintered compact. Therefor, a composition of a fine powder generating from the nozzle mouth piece 50 even when the particles collide with the nozzle mouth piece 50 does not contain a constituent of the jetting nozzle other than that of the nozzle mouth piece 50 so that the fine powder contaminated with a metal such as a stainless steel does not produce.
