PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing an electric deionization apparatus, which can stably store an electric deionization apparatus without a deterioration in properties during storage of the electric deionization apparatus in a long-term stop of passing water/energization period and can shorten the time necessary for providing a predetermined treated water quality at the restart of the operation. SOLUTION: In the storage of exchange resins within the electric deionization apparatus, an anion exchange resin is converted to a Cl form, and a cation exchange resin is converted to a Na form. This constitution is advantageous in that an increase in elution amount of TOC by swelling of the ion exchange resins upon conversion to a regenerative form can be suppressed, TOC delivery time can be shortened at the restart of the operation, and the treated water can be collected in an early stage.
