Disclosed is a compound having excellent androgen receptor modulating activity. Specifically disclosed is a compound represented by the formula (I) or a salt thereof. (I) wherein R¹, R² and R⁴ to R⁶ independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a group attached through a carbon atom, a group attached through a nitrogen atom, a group attached through an oxygen atom or a group attached through a sulfur atom; R³ represents an electron-withdrawing group; R⁷ represents an alkyl which may have a substituent; R⁸ represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl which may have a substituent, an alkenyl which may have a substituent, or a cycloalkyl which may have a substituent; R⁹ represents a group attached through an oxygen atom; and the ring A represents a 5- or 6-membered ring which may have a substituent other than R⁶ to R⁹.
