<p>A driver IC (10) of a line-head printer comprises a waveform pattern storage section (31) for storing digital data to generate analog waveforms including on-waveforms and off-waveforms as waveform patterns WPs, a control data receiving section (51) for converting serial data into nozzle control data for controlling respective nozzles (2), a selector for selecting one of the analog waveforms generated by a DA converter from the waveform patterns WPs for each nozzle (2) according to the nozzle control data, buffers (52) for outputting drive pulses DPs according to the analog waveform outputted from the selector, and a waveform pattern output section (33) for outputting the waveform patterns WPs from the waveform pattern storage section (31) in synchronization with a clock DACL for DA conversion.</p> |
