An automatic blocker having one light source and one image sensor is provided to have an efficient and simple structure by reducing the number of parts thereof. An automatic blocker includes a light source(60), a lens(64), a projection plate(68), an optical characteristic detector(70), a rotary unit(80), and an image sensor module(90). The light source controls the intensity of light to output. The lens converts outputted light into horizontal light for increasing light efficiency. The projection plate forms shadow image of a blank lens with the outputted light. The optical characteristic detector detects the outputted light to extract power, cylinder value, physical characteristics, and optical center point of the blank lens. The rotary unit locates the projection plate and the optical characteristic detector alternately on the outputted light path. The image sensor module detects the outputted light and the shadow image of the blank lens formed on the projection plate.
