摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detecting device of an elevator capable of improving working efficiency in installation, by dispensing with measurement of a cage load in installation. <P>SOLUTION: A biaxial acceleration sensor 15 respectively detects a gravitational acceleration component in the peripheral direction and the radial direction of a pulley 14. The biaxial acceleration sensor 15 is connected with a load detecting part. The biaxial acceleration sensor 15 sends a detected value of Gs&times;sin&theta; and Gc&times;cos&theta; to the load detecting part. The load detecting part calculates a turning angle &theta; of the pulley 14 based on the value of Gs&times;sin&theta; and Gc&times;cos&theta; from the biaxial acceleration sensor 15.
