PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket and a lighting fixture using it which can be downsized and can light a lamp with a protruded part surely locked to a locking spring. SOLUTION: The lamp socket B is provided with a socket main body 4, at a front-face side of which 4, a housing concave part 5a is provided for housing a base part with a plurality of lamp pins 3 protruded at a bottom part. Insertion grooves 5c are provided at side walls of the housing concave part 5a, along an insertion direction of the lamp, and engagement grooves 5b are provided in communication with the insertion grooves 5c along a rotating direction of the lamp. Inside the insertion grooves 5c and the engagement grooves 5b, a holding spring and a locking spring 7 each is arranged for locking with the protruded parts 2a provided at the base part. Further, a plurality of conductive members 9, housed in a rear-face side of the socket main body 4, are arranged at positions in stable connection with the corresponding lamp pins 3, when the protruded parts 2a and the locking spring 7 come in a completely locked state.
