PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RPR network system, etc. which can satisfy a dual requirement of a redundancy of an RPR function of communicating with the other RPR node devices on an RPR (Resilient Packet Ring) and a redundancy of an Ethernet(R) port function of sending and receiving an MAC frame via a port, when a failure occurs in the node device. SOLUTION: The two adjacent RPR node devices 110, 120 are operated in a linkage and form a single virtual RPR node device. The virtual RPR node device communicates with the other node devices on a link by an RPR station of the RPR node device which is a master, also constructs an LAG between tributary ports 113, 123 in the RPR node devices 110, 120, and uses both the ports as ports of the virtual RPR node device.
