PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remote monitoring system capable of expanding the limit of the number of monitoring terminals to be connected without being limited to the number of addresses of a server network. SOLUTION: A plurality of monitoring terminals 5 are connected to a plurality of monitoring terminal networks, and a remote monitoring server 1 is connected to the server network 2. A plurality of transmission proxy devices 3 are connected to the plurality of monitoring terminal networks 4, respectively, and control communications between the remote monitoring server 1 and monitoring terminals 5 based upon IP addresses of the remote the remote monitoring server 1 and itself, and IP addresses of the monitoring terminal 5 on the monitoring terminal networks 4 through the server network 2.
